Air Algérie unveils new winter 2026-2027 routes, including first direct flights to Shanghai and expanded African connections.
Winter 2026-2027 program for Air Algérie
The transition to the winter 2026-2027 program marks a new stage in the development of Air Algérie. Guinea, the Republic of Congo, Nigeria, and Kuwait are among the destinations served. The main novelty will be the first direct link of the Algerian national airline between Algiers and Shanghai, announced for October 26 in Airbus A330neo.Shanghai, a new gateway to China
The most significant opening concerns Shanghai-Pudong. The first commercial flight from Algiers is scheduled for Monday, October 26. Air Algérie will thus offer, for the first time, a direct link to the Chinese metropolis. Shanghai will join Beijing and Guangzhou in its Chinese network.Flight details and reservations
According to the program reported by Algerian media TSA and Algérie360, three weekly flights are planned, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, operated by Airbus A330-900neo. The outbound flight AH3082 is announced from Algiers at 13:00, with an arrival in Shanghai at 10:00 the following day, in local time. Reservations are already open.Expansion linked to fleet renewal
The project was mentioned in spring by the CEO of Air Algérie, Hamza Benhamouda. The executive had then specified that the realization of the expansion program depended on «the continuation of the reception of new aircraft acquired». The network development therefore accompanies the fleet renewal. Air Algérie has already received six Airbus A330-900 out of ten expected and three Boeing 737 MAX 8 out of ten ordered; its acquisitions also include ten Boeing 737 MAX 9 and sixteen ATR 72-600 destined for its subsidiary Domestic Airlines.Conakry and Brazzaville strengthen the African network
In West Africa, the Algiers–Conakry link is set to begin on Sunday, October 25, with three weekly flights to the Guinean capital, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The program cited plans for a departure from Algiers at 19:35 and an arrival at 23:50, in local time.Brazzaville joins the network
Brazzaville will follow on Monday, October 26. The capital of the Republic of Congo is to be served three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Departures are announced at 19:00, with an arrival at 1:10 the following day.Nigeria gets two complementary routes
In Nigeria, Air Algérie plans a service combining Abuja and Lagos. The program distinguishes two weekly rotations, with a different order of stops depending on the day. The first is set to begin on Monday, October 26, on the route Algiers–Abuja–Lagos–Algiers. The second, scheduled for Thursday starting October 29, will follow the itinerary Algiers–Lagos–Abuja–Algiers. Each route will therefore be operated once per week, totaling two weekly rotations to Nigeria.Doha and Kuwait added to the network
In Qatar, Algiers–Doha will transition to a daily flight starting October 25. Direct flights to the Qatari capital have already resumed on September 30, after several months of suspension. Finally, Kuwait will also be integrated into the network on October 26, within a weekly rotation combining Amman, in Jordan. The program plans a flight on Monday on the route Algiers–Kuwait–Amman–Algiers, in a Boeing 737-800.
