Jérémie Beyou is currently taking part in the Azimut Lorient Agglomération Challenge, a sailing event scheduled from September 14 to 20. This race is considered a key final test before the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, a well-known transatlantic yacht race. Beyou will set sail from Saint-Malo on November 1 for the fifth time, continuing his long-standing involvement in this event. A recent episode of Pos. Report, a documentary series, featured Beyou on September 15, 2026, offering insight into his current projects and ambitions. In the interview, Beyou spoke about his participation in a nautical parade celebrating Charlie Dalin, a French sailor from Havre who has made significant contributions to offshore racing. He reflected on a memorable experience with Dalin from about a year ago. Beyou also discussed a winter project involving his Imoca Charal 2, a high-performance racing yacht. The project focused on modifying the boat's hull to enable it to sail flatter and more efficiently through waves. After completing the modifications, Beyou noted a 10-15 percent increase in speed under certain conditions. Beyou sees the Azimut Lorient Agglomération Challenge as an important opportunity to prepare his team for the upcoming Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe, which is set to take place in just over a month. He expressed ambitious goals for the event. The conversation also addressed ongoing discussions within the Imoca class, a category of high-speed monohull racing yachts, regarding the rules and regulations that govern the fleet. Beyou mentioned that his partnership with Charal, the company that owns the boat, will end after the Route du Rhum. He shared his confidence in working with his BeYou Racing team on a future project involving an Ultim, a class of ultra-large racing yachts. This project would involve purchasing the current Banque Populaire, a boat currently sailed by Armel Le Cléac'h, once Le Cléac'h has his new boat.
