The 42nd edition of the Roc d’Azur CIC will take place from October 7 to 11, 2026, at the Base Nature François Léotard in Fréjus, a coastal town in southern France. The event is a major cycling festival that brings together thousands of participants, including around 300 exhibitors and notable athletes. Approximately 19,000 people are expected to attend, with live coverage provided by the French sports channel L’Équipe. The main race, the Roc d’Azur CIC (55 km), will occur on Sunday, October 11, starting at 8:05 am and ending at 11:20 am. Women’s cycling will be a central theme of the event. Cédrine Kerbaol and Maëva Squiban, both recent competitors at the world championships on the road in Canada, will be among the highlights. Maëva Squiban, who won two stages at the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift 2025, will compete in the Continental Gravel Roc on Saturday, October 10. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, the winner of the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift 2025 and Olympic mountain bike champion in 2024, will participate in several events, including the Roc d’Azur CIC stage and a presence at the HiPRO stand. French cyclists Marion Bunel and Cédrine Kerbaol will meet fans at the CIC stand on Friday and Saturday. Patrice Cauvet, Deputy General Director of CIC, mentioned that local schools will be invited to the event to learn about the Savoir Rouler à Vélo initiative, which promotes cycling skills, and to interact with athletes from the French team. The Roc Marathon by Škoda, a long-distance cycling race of 100.6 km, will take place on Friday, October 9. This year, the course has been redesigned to improve the experience for participants, especially in the final stages. For the first time, competitors will complete the race alone, which is expected to enhance the overall conditions for finishing the event. The Clean Walk, a walking event supported by CIC, will return on October 3 in Fréjus. The absence of last year’s winners, Jakob Dorigoni and Giorgia Marchet, means the competition is open to many contenders. Among the men, Stefano Goria and Davide Foccoli from the Italian Transalpins team, along with Hector Leonardo Paez Leon from Colombia, are strong favorites. Jordan Sarrou, a five-time winner and record holder for the most victories, will also compete. On the women’s side, Chiara Gualandi, who finished third last year, is returning to try for a win, facing her countrywomen Sandra Mairhofer and Greta Seiwald.
