Electrification gains momentum in France

The automotive market in France is undergoing a significant shift toward electric vehicles, with fully electric cars now making up more than 30% of new car sales. This trend reflects a broader movement toward reducing carbon emissions and embracing sustainable transportation solutions.

Hyundai's strong electrification strategy

Hyundai is capitalizing on this shift, with 83% of its models in France being electrified. The new Ioniq 3, assembled in Turkey and eligible for environmental incentives, fills a key spot in the brand's lineup, bridging the gap between the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 models.

Design inspired by past models

The Ioniq 3’s design includes a low profile and taut lines, which some may find reminiscent of the Veloster, a compact coupe with three asymmetrical doors. However, the Ioniq 3 opts for a more practical four-door layout, diverging from the Veloster’s unique design.

Innovative interior technology

Inside the Ioniq 3, a new horizontal dashboard featuring a 14.6-inch screen under Android Automotive is available. This screen is configurable and includes a unique reversing assistant called MRA, which records the last 50 meters of driving at low speeds, allowing drivers to undo maneuvers like a "Ctrl+Z" in a car.

Efficient performance for long trips

The Ioniq 3 offers two battery options: a 42 kWh LFP battery with a 147 hp motor and a larger 61 kWh NCA battery with a 135 hp motor. The larger battery version provides a range of up to 497 km on 17 or 18-inch wheels, making it suitable for long-distance travel with efficient energy consumption and fast charging capabilities.

Competitive pricing and incentives

The Ioniq 3 starts at 29,995 euros for the base model and offers a strong price-to-range ratio compared to competitors like the Renault 4 E-Tech and Volkswagen ID.2. After applying environmental bonuses and discounts, the final price becomes even more attractive, giving Hyundai a distinct advantage in the French market.
