Tramway disruptions on T4 and T2 lines from October 25 to November 24 will impact routes and stations as work begins on the new T10 line.
Tramway adjustments planned for October to November
Temporary changes to the T4 and T2 tramway lines are scheduled from October 25 to November 24 as part of preparations for the future T10 tramway line. These adjustments are needed to connect the overhead power lines of the T4 and T10 lines at Vénissieux station. Work involves new electrical connections
Teams will install new contact wires to link the electrical systems of the future T10 line with the existing infrastructure. Since this work must be done on currently operational systems, it will cause temporary disruptions to the T4 line’s service, as stated in a press release by TCL. T4 line disruptions on specific dates
On October 25, November 1, and 11, before 8:30 p.m., the T4 line will run normally from La Doua - Gaston Berger to Hôpital Feyzin Vénissieux. After that time, the line will only operate from La Doua - Gaston Berger to Lycée Lumière. Similar changes will occur on other dates, with some days seeing complete interruptions of the line. Several stations will be skipped on T4
Multiple stations along the T4 line, including Etats-Unis Tony Garnier, Beauvisage CISL, and Hôpital Feyzin Vénissieux, will not be served during the disruption period. Passengers are advised to check for updates and use relay buses provided by TCL during these times. T2 line also affected for testing
The T2 tramway line will also experience disruptions, particularly on October 28 and 29, to conduct signaling tests for the future T10 line. During these evenings, the T2 line will only operate between Grange Blanche and Saint-Priest Bel-Air, skipping several stations. Relay buses available for T2 disruptions
To assist passengers affected by the T2 disruptions, relay buses will run every 15 minutes between Grange Blanche and Perrache. These buses aim to maintain mobility for those relying on the tramway during the testing period.
