Moonshine returns to Paris

Moonshine, a Montreal-based collective and label focused on African and Afro-diasporic electronic music, returns to Paris on November 14 for a special event. The gathering will take place at Central Chapelle in the 18th arrondissement, known for its industrial architecture and underground music scene.

Event details and location

The event will occur on Saturday, November 14, from midnight to 6 a.m. at Central Chapelle, a venue that has become a popular spot for electronic and experimental music in Paris. The location was revealed only recently, following Moonshine’s usual practice of keeping event venues secret until the last moment.

Artists and musical styles

Moonshine has invited a diverse group of artists for this event, including Pierre Kwenders and San Farafina from Montreal, as well as Ace Tee from Berlin, State Off from Amsterdam, and Boutcha Bwa and Negoo from Lisbon. The music will span genres such as Afro house, amapiano, kuduro, bouyon, kompa, and jersey club, blending rhythms and influences into a unified experience.

Event philosophy and policies

The Moonshine collective emphasizes inclusivity and diversity, with a strict zero-tolerance policy against racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination. The event is designed to be a space where different cultures and musical traditions come together in a respectful and welcoming environment.

Ticketing and access

Tickets for the event are available through Moonshine’s official channels. The event, like others in the Moonshine series, is likely to sell out quickly, given its reputation for unique, high-energy experiences and the secrecy surrounding its locations.
