Vinicius Junior suspended by Spanish Football Federation

Vinicius Junior, a Brazilian international playing for Real Madrid, has been banned from four matches by the Spanish Football Federation. The suspension was announced on Wednesday, October 14, following his expulsion during Real Madrid’s 1-0 league victory over Villarreal on Saturday.

Reason for the suspension

Vinicius was expelled for pulling the hair of Nathan Saliba, a player from Villarreal. The Spanish Football Federation stated that the 26-year-old received a "suspension of two matches for violent conduct outside the game" and another "suspension of two matches for protests against referee Isidro Diaz."

Matches Vinicius will miss

Vinicius will be absent for four key matches, including the Clasico against FC Barcelona on October 25. He will also miss games against FC Seville (October 18), Racing Santander (November 1), and FC Valencia (November 7).

Incident during the match

Vinicius entered the game in the 52nd minute after starting on the bench for the first time this season. He scored a goal in the 71st minute, but it was disallowed. Two minutes later, he was expelled after an altercation with Nathan Saliba at the start of the action.
