Paris Basketball faced another defeat in the Euroleague, this time falling to Partizan Belgrade 79-92 in their home debut at the adidas arena. The loss marked the team's second consecutive loss in the competition, and Coach Maxime Lefèvre expressed disappointment with the performance, pointing out that 21 turnovers—12 of which occurred in the second half—significantly hurt their chances of winning. Lefèvre noted that the team took 18 three-point shots in the first half, which he described as good opportunities with solid ball movement. However, the effectiveness of their passing declined in the second half, as players often attempted passes that were not available. He also suggested that the team's high intensity and energy in the first half, while initially positive, led to unnecessary turnovers, indicating that the players might have been overly aggressive in their offensive approach. The coach also addressed the issue of team rotations, stating that frequent changes in lineups could confuse the players, especially during critical moments of the game. He emphasized that the coaching staff would need to evaluate these decisions to ensure that the lineups are logical and maintain team cohesion. Regarding the performance of player Nadir Hifi, Lefèvre acknowledged that he was a focal point of the defense and had moments of effectiveness. However, he admitted that the team sometimes focused too much on Hifi, which he admitted was partly his own fault as a coach. The team will need to address these issues moving forward to improve their chances in the Euroleague.
