Fiat reveals electric quadricycle concept

The Fiat Multiplina, an electric quadricycle concept, was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show after being delayed from its original planned debut in July with the new Topolino range.

Fiat's future electric plans

According to Fiat's head, the company is working on future electric cars priced at 10,000 and 15,000 euros, aiming to expand its range of affordable electric vehicles.

Multiplina's design and features

The Multiplina is a four-seater electric quadricycle concept based on the Topolino but does not require a license. It has a colorful design and a more practical approach compared to the more conceptual Multiplay model.

Stylistic elements and design influences

The front of the vehicle includes round headlights similar to those of the Italian cousin of the Citroën Ami, with a two-tone white finish that adds a touch of sophistication to the design.

Reused components and design differences

The doors of the Multiplina are reused from the Topolino, with minor adjustments to hide the added size. However, the rear design is less friendly, featuring vertical lights and a more abrupt look that focuses on practicality rather than style.

Interior and seating arrangements

The Multiplina includes a rear bench, making it one of the few four-seater quadricycles on the market. The dashboard is similar to the Topolino, with an elegant fabric and a hat bag on the driver's side, though the rear bench seems to be a temporary addition.

Vehicle capabilities and restrictions

The vehicle is classified as a heavy quadricycle, accessible with a license, capable of reaching up to 90 km/h but restricted from highways and motorways.

Potential competition and release date

The Multiplina could potentially compete with the future Dacia Hipster, a heavy quadricycle expected to launch in 2027. However, no specific release date for the Multiplina has been announced.
