A former police officer and rugby player named Cédric Prizzon is suspected of killing his partner and ex-partner in Portugal in March. According to the Portuguese daily newspaper Jornal de Noticias, confirmed by the French news agency AFP, Prizzon may have forced his 12-year-old son to help transport the bodies of the two victims in order to bury them. This information comes from a police source and is one of the conclusions of the investigation conducted by the Portuguese judicial police. The case has been handed over to the Bragança (northeast) prosecutor's office, which is expected to file its indictment by the end of September. Prizzon may face serious charges, including aggravated homicide, desecration of corpses, and cruel or inhumane treatment towards his son for having forced him to help. The 12-year-old boy, who is a central witness in the case, is said to have been involved in the events, with information indicating that he had to keep watch while his father buried the bodies. However, it was not previously mentioned that he would have helped move the bodies. The suspect is said to have planned the kidnapping of his ex-partner and their son with the help of his new partner, intending to then flee to Morocco. Prizzon was arrested in northern Portugal in March during a routine traffic stop that ended several days of evasion since the Aveyron region, where his ex-wife and son had been reported missing. The bodies of the two French women, aged 40 and 26, were found buried in an isolated location in the Bragança district, about 100 kilometers north of the place where Prizzon was arrested. Cédric Prizzon is currently in provisional detention in Guarda, in the northeast of Portugal.
