Published World Champion Lando Norris has announced the formation of a new driver development program and a racing team called LN4 Fusion, aimed at nurturing future Formula 1 talent. The initiative was revealed just before the Italian Grand Prix weekend. Norris explained that the program, called the LN4 Legacy Programme, will operate teams in several junior racing categories starting next year, including the Italian F4 Championship, FIA Formula Regional European Championship, and FIA Formula 3 Championship in 2027. The team also hopes to compete in Formula 2 next year, though the application process for that is still ongoing. Norris shared that he wanted to give back to motorsport after achieving his own success. "I have the amazing opportunity to use the bonuses of what was my dream, use the people that I've met, the teams that I've been with and kind of all put it into a big bowl and try and help kind of give back and re-share it with other people and help other people achieve their dream," he said. The LN4 Fusion team will be managed by Rene Rosin, founder and former leader of Prema, one of the most successful teams in junior racing over the past 20 years. Norris will be a co-owner of the project alongside an investment group led by businessman Dan Richards, who has a background in technology. The main headquarters of the program will be in Veneto, Italy, while the UK branch, led by Dan Hazlewood—head of the Fusion Motorsport karting team—will be based in Cambridgeshire and run a program in British F4. The young driver development program will be overseen by Julian Rouse, who previously managed a similar program for the Alpine F1 team. Richards described the project as more than just the acquisition of a racing team. "We have assembled a rare combination and secured the right sporting leadership in the industry: an established operation, a Formula 1 world champion, the most successful team principal in junior single-seater racing over the past two decades, world-class motorsport expertise, significant investment and a shared ambition to build a team capable of competing at the highest levels of the sport," he said. Rosin added that Norris's involvement brings added value to the project. "Having Lando on board adds a further dimension to this project. He has come through the junior single-seater ranks and understands its demands. His involvement will make a real difference to the team."
