Cyclist evaluates 2027 plans

Paul Seixas, a 20-year-old French cyclist, is still deciding what races to compete in during the 2027 season. He has not yet finalized his schedule, despite a strong 2026 that included a fourth-place finish in the Tour de France and a win at the Tour de Lombardie.

Seixas reflects on 2026 success

Seixas, who rides for Decathlon CMA CGM, said he was happy with his performance in 2026. He particularly enjoyed winning the Tour de Lombardie, and he emphasized that he wants to keep improving without making rushed decisions about his career.

Time trial remains a focus

The time trial is a key part of Seixas’s training. He won a bronze medal at the last World Championships in this discipline and feels confident on a time trial bike. He plans to continue working on this area, as it is crucial for success in Grand Tours like the Tour de France.

Giro d'Italia possibility discussed

There is growing interest in whether Seixas will compete in the Giro d'Italia in 2027. The route for the race will be announced soon, and Seixas mentioned he is open to making his debut in the Italian event, especially to prepare for the World Championships in Sallanches, where his grandparents are from.

Team discussions ongoing

Seixas said that all options are still on the table for his 2027 race schedule. He plans to talk with his team to decide the best path forward. This means the Tour de France is not guaranteed for him next year.
