The tenth and final edition of the ZEvent, a popular music and charity event, took place on Thursday, September 3 in Montpellier, France. The event kicked off with a powerful opening concert by the French hip-hop duo BigFlo & Oli, who also made a generous donation of 100,000 euros to the ZEvent. The ZEvent is known for bringing together artists and fans to raise funds for various charitable causes, and this year’s edition marked the end of a decade-long initiative. Originally, the singer GIMS was scheduled to perform at the event, but he was unable to attend due to health issues. In his place, Yamê, another popular French artist, stepped in at the last minute to ensure the event continued smoothly. Despite his absence, GIMS still showed his support by having his team donate 50,000 euros to the ZEvent. Additionally, he contributed a platinum record to be raffled off during a lucky draw, adding to the excitement and generosity of the evening. By the end of the opening night, the total fundraising efforts had already surpassed 500,000 euros, even before the official start of the ZEvent marathon. The marathon, which is a key part of the event, was set to begin on Friday, September 4 at 6 p.m. This final edition of the ZEvent aimed to highlight the contributions of hundreds of creators who would participate over the next three days. These artists and performers would take turns on stage to support the various associations that have been helped by the ZEvent since its first edition in 2014. The ZEvent has grown significantly over the years, becoming a major platform for both artistic expression and charitable giving. With its final edition, the organizers and participants aimed to leave a lasting legacy, celebrating a decade of support for important causes while bringing together the music community in a spirit of solidarity and generosity.
