Presented for its first European appearance during the Paris Motor Show, the Q is an all-electric city car measuring 4.19 meters in length, with a wheelbase of 2.70 meters for its size. It claims to offer 38 storage compartments, a trunk capacity of 375 liters, a front trunk of 70 liters, and a V2L port for powering an external device. Its motor produces 121 horsepower, its battery has a capacity of 41 kWh, and Chery states that it can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in less than 17 minutes. The stated autonomy of 400 kilometers is measured according to the NEDC cycle, which is significantly more lenient than the WLTP. It will be necessary to wait for the homologation to know what the Q really offers. Chery only indicates that its arrival on the French market will be confirmed later, without giving a price or a schedule. In China, where it is called QQ3 EV, the 41 kWh battery version is sold for less than 9,000 euros (68,900 yuan). Once customs duties, taxes, and European homologation are passed, its price could double, or even triple, if it ever arrives in France. Chery Tiggo 4: from the hybrid Chery arrived in France on September 1st with the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8. The Tiggo 4 completes the range with a more reasonable format: 4.32 meters in length, 1.83 meters in width, 1.65 meters in height. It adopts the style of its older models, with a C-pillar that recedes and a light band across the width of the tailgate. Inside, two 12.3-inch screens share the dashboard, and the brand promises many functions with direct access. The 2.61-meter wheelbase and 430-liter trunk are appropriate for the category. Chery emphasizes the equipment. Starting from the Comfort trim, available from 23,990 euros, one finds automatic dual-zone air conditioning, keyless access and start, full LED lighting, a radar and a rearview camera, CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, 18-inch wheels, 7 airbags, and 20 driving assistance features. The higher trim, 2,000 euros more expensive, adds synthetic leather upholstery, heated steering wheel and front seats, electric adjustment of the front seats, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and 50-watt wireless charging. This better-equipped version is therefore priced at 25,990 euros. The Tiggo 4 thus becomes the entry point to the Chery range in France, 3,000 euros below the Tiggo 7 CSH (starting at 26,990 euros), the seven-seater Tiggo 8 CSH starting at 38,990 euros. Built on the T1X platform, the Tiggo 4 receives the CSH hybridization from the group: a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with 143 horsepower, an electric motor with 204 horsepower, a dedicated DHT1 single-speed transmission, and a small battery of 1.83 kWh, which does not recharge via a plug. The combined power reaches 224 horsepower for 295 Nm. In terms of consumption, Chery states 5.3 liters per 100 km in the WLTP mixed cycle, for 120 grams per kilometer of CO₂. With the Tiggo 4, Chery is entering the very competitive field of urban SUVs. On this segment, the generalists show high entry tickets: 26,800 euros for a Renault Captur with 120 horsepower, 28,600 euros for a Peugeot 2008 with 100 horsepower, before discounts, and without any hybridization. In full hybrid, the 160 horsepower Captur started at 30,500 euros in February, according to the prices recorded by L'argus. The Chinese company is rather targeting tight-priced offers. Obviously, one thinks of the Dacia Duster, announced from 19,990 euros but which rises to 26,900 euros in full hybrid with 155 horsepower. There is also the MG ZS Hybrid+ and its 195 horsepower, offered at 23,490 euros, as well as the BYD Atto 2 DM-i, a rechargeable hybrid with 166 horsepower, which requires a minimum of 26,990 euros. At 23,990 euros, the Tiggo 4 goes under the full hybrid Duster and the Atto 2, but remains 500 euros more expensive than the MG ZS Hybrid+, which it surpasses in power (224 horsepower against 195 horsepower).
