Performance explores balance and movement
The performance Pas de deuxième ciel examines the ongoing human struggle to remain upright, find balance, and maintain verticality. It focuses on how the body, shaped by years of training and norms, faces new challenges on stage through altered gravity or movement constraints.Artists and collaborators
Pas de deuxième ciel is a shared evening with Ndoho Ange and Welcome to My Jungle – Single ticket. Choreography and performance are by Samuel Planas, with original music by Esteban Fernandez and stage design by Eva Gonant. Lighting is designed by Nicolas Bazoge, and performers are currently being recruited for the piece.Production and partnerships
The production is by Association Pilgrim and is coproduced by Danse Dense (Pantin), Théâtre de la Ville de Paris, and Fondation d'entreprise Hermès. The performance has included residencies at several institutions, including CNDC Angers, Ménagerie de verre, Tanztenzdenz Munich, and others across France and Germany.Event details and schedule
