Citroën unveils the ë-C5 Aircross, a new family SUV with up to 680 km of range, advanced tech, and a redesigned look.
Citroën unveils new electric SUV
Citroën has introduced the ë-C5 Aircross, an updated version of the brand's family SUV, based on the STLA Medium platform. The vehicle offers up to 680 km of WLTP autonomy, two power outputs, and fast charging at 160 kW.Design changes and dimensions
The design of the ë-C5 Aircross moves away from the rounded lines of the first generation, adopting a more direct appearance with a low and vertical hood featuring a three-point light signature inspired by the Oli concept. The front lacks a grille and displays a retro logo on a clean face. The SUV has increased in size, measuring 4,652 mm in length, 2,108 mm in width with mirrors, and 1,691 mm in height.Interior features and space
Inside, the ë-C5 Aircross features a cabin designed like a living room, with the driver's seat incorporating geometric lines. The head-up display extends over the windshield, and the central 13-inch screen uses a cascading layout, a first in the Stellantis group. A 10-inch digital combination display completes the set behind the steering wheel. The wheelbase reaches 2,784 mm, providing more interior space.Seating and cargo space
The front seats offer good support and a soft seat, while the rear features increased leg and headroom. An opening panoramic roof enhances the feeling of volume, and the rear bench is fixed for comfort and trunk space. The trunk capacity is 651 liters, with the 40/20/40 rear bench and adjustable seats adding modularity. Folded seats increase the volume to 1,985 liters.Battery options and charging
The ë-C5 Aircross offers two battery options: the 210 hp Comfort Autonomy version with a 73 kWh battery for 520 km of WLTP autonomy, and the 230 hp Long Autonomy version with a 97 kWh battery for 680 km of WLTP autonomy. The on-board charger accepts 11 kW in three-phase alternating current as standard.Charging times and options
At home, the 20-80% charge takes 5 hours or 6 hours 30 minutes depending on the battery. On a 22 kW Wallbox, the charge time is 2 hours 40 minutes or 3 hours 15 minutes. Fast charging reaches a peak of 160 kW, with the 73 kWh battery charging from 20 to 80% in 30 minutes and the 97 kWh version taking 27 minutes.Available finishes and pricing
The SUV is available in several finishes, starting at 40,990 euros for the YOU Comfort Autonomy version. The PLUS finish adds 3,000 euros, including tinted rear windows, ambient lighting, and a rearview camera. The MAX finish adds another 3,000 euros, including 20-inch alloy wheels, an extended head-up display, and VisioPark 360. Citroën also offers Emerald and Business versions.Autonomy and real-world performance
The WLTP autonomy ranges from 520 km (73 kWh battery) to 680 km (97 kWh battery), with real-world autonomy varying based on driving conditions. Fast charging allows a 20-80% charge in 27 to 30 minutes, while home charging with 11 kW takes 5 to 6 hours 30 minutes.
