During the summer of 2026, Europe experienced a series of intense heat waves, with temperatures soaring between June and August. As a result, many consumers have been seeking effective ways to stay cool, leading to increased interest in portable cooling devices. One popular option is the Dreo DRE57116 portable air conditioner, which functions as a fan, dehumidifier, and air conditioner in one unit. This device has become a sought-after solution for individuals looking to cool smaller spaces without the need for permanent air conditioning installations. The Dreo DRE57116 is currently available at a discounted price of 399.99 euros during the French Days 2026, a major promotional event in France. This represents a 200 euro reduction, or a 33% discount, from its original price of 599.99 euros. The device is suitable for small rooms up to 15 square meters and has a cooling power of 2.1 kilowatts or 7,500 British Thermal Units (BTUs), with an air flow rate of 300 cubic meters per hour. It also includes an automatic drainage system that eliminates the need for users to manually empty the water tank. The Dreo DRE57116 is designed for convenience, featuring wheels for easy mobility and a compact size of 35.5 x 38.5 x 63 cm, with a weight of 22.5 kilograms. It operates in three modes: cooling, ventilation, and dehumidification, and can maintain temperatures between 16 and 30 degrees Celsius. The device operates at a maximum noise level of 61 decibels, which is comparable to the sound of a normal conversation, and can be controlled via a remote, smartphone app, or voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, or Google Home. The French Days 2026, which runs until September 14, offer a wide range of promotional deals across various retailers, including Amazon, Fnac/Darty, Boulanger, and Cdiscount. These sales often include not only air conditioners but also other household appliances and electronics. As the heat continues to be a concern for many, consumers are encouraged to monitor specific channels for real-time updates on promotions and to take advantage of the deals while they last.
