The **Warsaw Industry Days Le Warsaw Co-Production Forum** has announced that 16 European film projects have been selected for its upcoming event. Ten of these are in the development phase, while six are currently in production or post-production. These projects will be showcased on 15 and 16 October, during the **Warsaw International Film Festival**, which is in its 42nd year. The Forum aims to bring together filmmakers and producers with potential co-production partners, distributors, sales agents, and other international industry professionals. This event supports projects at various stages of development and production by offering networking opportunities and professional guidance.
The ten projects in development will take part in a three-day programme that includes pitch training and script development sessions. The programme will feature a session led by pitching expert Agata Darlasi, as well as individual consultations with script development experts Norah McGettigan and Filip Kasperaszek. Among the selected projects are new works by filmmakers such as Lithuania’s Eglė Vertelytė, whose film Miracle was selected at the Toronto International Film Festival, and Bulgaria’s Maya Vitkova-Kosev, whose Viktoria was chosen at Sundance and IFFR. Additionally, six films currently in production or post-production will be presented to Polish and international industry professionals during a closed works-in-progress showcase. Filmmakers and producers will also have one-to-one meetings with industry delegates and receive individual project consultations from pitching expert Wim Vanacker. These sessions will focus on the potential of each project, how to position it in the market, and the next steps to consider before its wider introduction to the international film scene. The selection also includes new works by Czech director Václav Kadrnka, winner of the Karlovy Vary Crystal Globe for Little Crusader, and Romanian director Liviu Săndulescu, known for Carturan.
