Audemars Piguet, a renowned Swiss watchmaker, has introduced its Royal Oak Jewelry collection, marking a new chapter in the brand’s long history. The collection is inspired by the natural beauty of the Joux Valley, a region in the Jura Mountains that has been central to the brand’s heritage. Comprising 19 pieces, the collection features gold, titanium, and a variety of precious stones, reflecting the landscapes and colors of the area. Among the standout pieces are a diamond and blue sapphire tie necklace and earrings, as well as 18-karat gold cuffs adorned with diamonds, sapphires, spessartites, tourmalines, amethysts, tsavorites, and topazes. These designs capture the essence of frozen lakes, starry night skies, and the floral patterns found in the region. One particularly unique piece, the Risoud Eclipse, takes its inspiration from the Risoud forest, a natural landmark in the Joux Valley. This jewelry piece is crafted from titanium and features emeralds and diamonds, echoing the rugged yet elegant character of the forest. The Frosted Gold collection, another highlight, showcases a special technique developed in 2016 in collaboration with jewelry designer Carolina Bucci. This technique gives the metal a subtle, diamond-dust-like finish, adding a touch of sophistication and innovation to the collection. The Royal Oak, first introduced in 1972 by designer Gérald Genta, has become one of the most iconic timepieces in the history of Audemars Piguet. Four years after its launch, Jacqueline Dimier, the brand’s first female designer, adapted the model for women, further expanding its appeal. The new Royal Oak Jewelry collection is the first jewelry line to bear the same name as the legendary watch, continuing the legacy of the original design. Sebastian Vivas, director of the Audemars Piguet Museum and Heritage, and Jonathan Raksha, known for selling his first Bamboo watch to actor Jacob Elordi, have revisited the history of the Royal Oak in creating this collection. Ilaria Resta, general director of Audemars Piguet, described the collection as "a true bridge between past and future," highlighting the significance of jewelry in the brand’s creative journey. She emphasized how jewelry has played a vital role in shaping the brand’s imagination and artistic expression over the years.
