This change impacts both donors and the organizations that rely on the donations.Event contributes significantly to annual supplies
The three-day collection typically accounts for about 9% of the Food Bank of the North’s yearly supply. In 2025, it collected 310 tons of food, equivalent to 775,000 meals, which were distributed to 190 partner associations supporting 102,899 people in vulnerable situations in Lille.Donated items include food and hygiene products
The collected items include non-perishable foods such as canned fish, starchy products, and oil, as well as hygiene items like diapers and menstrual products. These supplies are crucial for the associations that provide aid to people facing food insecurity.Participating stores and volunteer opportunities
Stores participating in the collection in Lille include Carrefour Euralille, Leclerc Fives, and Lidl in Hellemmes, among others. Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts, and those unable to help in person can contribute financially through My Solidarity Basket, which funds the purchase of essential goods.
