National food drive dates announced

The national food bank drive will take place from November 6 to 8, 2026, a week earlier than usual, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday.

Items needed for donations

Among the products sought are pasta, rice, semolina, dried vegetables, canned meat and fish, soups, oil, flour, milk, coffee, cereals and biscuits, as well as soap, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, period protection, and baby diapers.

Volunteer opportunities available

The Toulouse Food Bank is seeking volunteers who can contribute "a few hours, a day or over a weekend" during the drive, helping with tasks such as welcoming donors, transporting goods, sorting items, or managing collection points.

Logistics of the donation process

After being collected by volunteers in the store, the products will be transported to a sorting site, classified by category, and then stored before being redistributed to the 120 partner associations.

Impact of last year's drive

Last year, 3,804 tons of food, equivalent to 7,608,000 meals, were distributed by BA31, which supports more than 38,000 people in precarious situations every week in Haute-Garonne, Ariège, and Tarn-et-Garonne. "Every contribution counts," said BA31.
