Camille Trouvé and Brice Berthoud, known for their work with the puppetry group Les Anges au Plafond, are collaborating with Estelle Savasta and her company Hippolyte a mal au cœur to create a children's adaptation of the classic Greek myth L’Oiseau de Prométhée. The story is set in a world where humans and gods live together under the rule of Zeus, the supreme god. Every year, during a grand feast, Zeus sacrifices a sacred bull, and the food is distributed in a strict manner: the best cuts go to the gods, while humans are left with bones and entrails. This raises questions about fairness and power. Promethea, a half-god from the Titan family, is unable to accept this injustice and devises a plan to trick Zeus so that humans can finally eat their fill. The production aims to spark discussion among young audiences about how resources are shared and who holds power in society. When children arrive at the theater, they are placed in a situation that mirrors this imbalance. While the adults and gods on stage enjoy a feast of delicacies, the children are left with only stones, sitting on the steps. The question arises: what will be the strength of their revolt? On stage, the vibrant puppets of Les Anges au Plafond are brought to life through the words of author Estelle Savasta, who hopes to inspire new generations to challenge the status quo. By sharing knowledge and stories, the creators aim to give children the tools to envision a more just world. Prométhée la révolte is written by Estelle Savasta, Camille Trouvé, and Brice Berthoud. The stage design is also by these three collaborators. The cast includes Olivier Constant alternating with Grégoire Lagrange, Zoé Fauconnet, Victoire Goupil alternating with Kim Verschueren, Achille Sauloup, and Christelle Ferreira. The musical score is by Yacir Rami alternating with Ahmed Amine Ben Feguira. The puppets are created by Amélie Madeline, Camille Trouvé, Séverine Thiébault, Jonas Coutancier, Caroline Dubuisson, and Magali Rousseau. The costumes are designed by Séverine Thiébault, and the assistance with puppet manipulation is provided by Jonas Coutancier. Yvan Bernardet is the stage manager, Malek Chorfi the lighting manager, and Tania Volke the sound manager.
