Vietjet and Satair sign cooperation agreement

Vietjet, a Vietnamese airline, and Satair, a subsidiary of Airbus, signed a memorandum of understanding in Copenhagen during the Vietnam-Denmark Business Forum to expand their collaboration in supplying spare parts and supporting Vietjet's growing Airbus fleet.

Existing program forms foundation

The partnership builds on an existing integrated material services (IMS) program that already supports Vietjet's Airbus aircraft. This program aims to streamline the supply of parts and maintenance support for the airline's fleet.

Working group focuses on logistics and planning

A joint working group will address key areas such as material availability, supply and demand forecasting, stock positioning, and digital integration to support maintenance planning. This collaboration aims to improve efficiency and responsiveness in parts management.

New airport project included in partnership

The agreement also covers plans for the new Long Thanh International Airport in Vietnam, where the partners will explore consignment stock solutions, supply chain logistics, and other related services to support the airport's operations.

Program includes used parts and training

The partnership will also involve the use of serviceable used parts, repair and component exchange, surplus stock management, and support for aircraft on the ground (AOG). Additionally, the program includes data integration, training for supply chain professionals, and other maintenance-related initiatives.
