Collins Aerospace expands contract with Vietjet Air

Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX, has expanded its FlightSense contract with Vietjet Air to include 44 additional Airbus A320neo family aircraft. This expansion is part of a long-term partnership aimed at improving aircraft performance and maintenance efficiency.

Support through the Ascentia platform

Collins Aerospace will provide lifecycle support for the newly included aircraft using its Ascentia analysis platform. This platform is designed to monitor and analyze aircraft data in real time, helping to optimize performance and maintenance schedules.

Focus on reducing downtime and costs

The agreement is intended to reduce aircraft downtime and make maintenance costs more predictable for Vietjet Air. By using advanced data analytics, Collins Aerospace aims to help the airline manage its maintenance needs more effectively and efficiently.

Previous engine agreement with Pratt & Whitney

The 24 A321neo and 20 A321XLR aircraft covered by this amendment had previously been part of an engine agreement with Pratt & Whitney in February of last year. This agreement likely involved the supply and maintenance of engines for these aircraft.

Vietjet Air's fleet composition

Vietjet Air, a Vietnamese low-cost carrier, operates nearly 100 single-aisle Airbus aircraft. This includes aircraft operated by its Thai subsidiary, highlighting the airline's regional presence and fleet strategy.
