Abandoned kittens found in Louisiana trailer

A property owner in Louisiana discovered eight abandoned kittens inside a trailer on her land, leading to a rescue operation by the River Cities Humane Society for Cats association.

Kittens found in poor condition

The kittens, found under a pink tarp, were covered in fleas and appeared to be from different litters, with ages ranging between one and two months.

Origin of the trailer unknown

The shelter and landowner could not determine who had placed the trailer or how long the animals had been confined there.

Kittens receiving care at the shelter

The kittens are now in the care of the shelter, where they are receiving treatment and will be available for adoption in about two months after vaccinations and spaying or neutering.

Shelter highlights spaying and neutering

The shelter emphasized the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of unwanted animals and prevent similar incidents.
