A walker found four abandoned kittens in a plastic bag, two already dead. Rescuers now care for the survivors, Peanut and Butter, until they're ready for adoption.
Kittens found in plastic bag
A person discovered four kittens abandoned in a plastic bag, with two of them already dead. The walker immediately took the surviving kittens to the veterinarian for examination.
Kittens are five weeks old
The kittens were approximately five weeks old. Rescuers from the Byfleet Cat Rescue association took over to care for the two surviving kittens, who were named Peanut and Butter.
Kittens in foster care
The two brothers are now in good hands, having been placed in a foster family where they can recover and play in a safe environment. Initially, Butter was very reserved, but gradually the kittens regained energy.
Rescuers shocked by abandonment
The rescuers expressed shock at the cruel abandonment, noting that the kittens had no chance of survival locked at the bottom of the plastic bag without the intervention of the walker. The two kittens will remain in foster care until they reach eight to ten weeks of age.
Rescuers seeking permanent homes
The rescuers will do everything possible to find them a loving and safe home.
