Netflix has announced its lineup of new releases and horror films for October 2026, with a focus on original productions and Halloween-themed content. Among the original series arriving on Netflix France in October 2026 is To the East of Eden, a seven-episode miniseries adapted from John Steinbeck's novel, following the Trask family across several generations. The series stars Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames and is directed by Zoe Kazan, granddaughter of Elia Kazan, who directed the 1955 version with James Dean. On 8 October, the six-episode miniseries Below will be released, featuring Josh Hartnett as a fisherman battling a strange marine creature in Newfoundland, Canada. On 15 October, The Diplomat, season 4, continues the adventures of Kate Wyler, the American ambassador played by Keri Russell. On 20 October, Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2, a new standalone story within the universe of the video game Cyberpunk 2077, will debut in ten episodes. On 22 October, Nobody Wants This, season 3, returns with an improbable love story starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
