Junior Ballet expands with new dancers

The Junior Ballet, a training program for young dancers, now includes 24 members, with 15 of them being new recruits. These dancers are undergoing training to master both classical and contemporary dance styles associated with the Paris Opera.

Training and performance schedule

The dancers alternate between periods of training and performances, both at the Paris Opera and in off-site locations. For the 2026–2027 season, they began with a residency at the Orsolina28 Art Foundation in Italy, which focuses on the future of performing arts.

Stage appearances at Palais Garnier

This season, the Junior Ballet will perform at the Palais Garnier. They will join other ballet students and professionals in the Paris Opera Ballet Parade on October 10 and 16. Later, they will perform in Éclats de Danse, a program running from September 9 to January 28, 2027, and in Les Enfants du paradis by José Martinez from March 9 to March 27, 2027.

International performances planned

In addition to their performances at the Palais Garnier, the Junior Ballet will present mixed programs in 12 locations across France and internationally from December 2026 to June 2027, showcasing their work beyond Paris.

Public rehearsal and documentary series

On October 31, 2026, the public can attend a rehearsal of the Éclats de Danse program at the Amphitheater of the Opéra Bastille. A documentary series titled Junior Ballet – Rêver, danser, ensemble will also be available on the Paris Opera’s digital platform, offering insight into the lives and training of the dancers.
