YAGP celebrates 15 years in Paris

The Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) will mark 15 years of partnership with the Paris Opera during its semi-final event in Paris, scheduled from October 29 to November 1 at the Théâtre André Malraux. This collaboration represents a historic milestone for the Paris Opera Ballet School, which has opened its doors to an external organization for the first time in its over 300-year history.

YAGP's global reach

In its 27th season, the YAGP has grown to impact more than 15,000 dance students annually worldwide. The program organizes workshops, scholarship auditions, master classes, and auditions across more than 30 American cities and over 15 cities in other parts of the world. This extensive network helps nurture young talent in various dance disciplines.

Paris semi-final opportunities

The Paris semi-finals will offer performance and training opportunities for dancers of all levels. Participants can compete in classical and contemporary dance categories, attend master classes, and work toward qualifying for the YAGP final. This event serves as a crucial stepping stone for many aspiring dancers.

A historic partnership

The Paris Opera Ballet School’s decision to collaborate with YAGP is a significant departure from its traditional practices. By opening its doors to this external organization, the school is embracing new ways to engage with the global dance community and support emerging talent.
