Architecture prize opens for submissions

The RELIEF Oc prize, organized by the Regional Council of the Architects' Order of Occitanie, invites architects to submit their work by 9 November 2026. This competition aims to highlight innovative architectural practices in the Occitanie region of France.

Focus on transformative architecture

The prize emphasizes how architecture can transform living spaces, existing buildings, and the evolving landscapes of Occitanie. It encourages new ways of thinking about how people live, work, and interact in their communities.

Addressing societal challenges

RELIEF Oc seeks to recognize architecture’s role in tackling key issues such as the ecological transition, improving living conditions, revitalizing areas, and fostering creativity. It also promotes dialogue between professionals and raises public awareness of architectural contributions.

Six categories for diverse practices

The competition includes six categories: HABITER for housing, RÉINVENTER for building rehabilitation, RASSEMBLER for shared spaces, PRODUIRE for work environments, RELIER for urban and landscape design, and EXPLORER for artistic and experimental work by architects.

Eligibility and application details

The prize is open to individuals who have completed architectural projects in Occitanie in 2026 or are currently engaged in architectural or creative practices. Detailed rules and application forms are available for download, with the deadline set for 9 November 2026.
