La Poste plays a significant role in supporting local communities, especially in rural areas and urban neighborhoods, by maintaining over 400 post offices labeled France services. These locations serve as hubs for public services, offering assistance with administrative tasks and promoting digital inclusion. In Corsica, there are 39 France services post offices, 21 of which are located in towns such as Sotta, Sari-Solenzara, Castello di Rostino, Bastia Place d'armes, Calacuccia, Vico, Piana, Ventiseri, Calenzana, Luri, Cervione, Petreto-Bicchisano, Ajaccio Salines, Galéria, Penta Di Casinca (Folelli), Murato, Venaco, Aléria, Saint Florent-Patrimonio, Bastia Libecciu, and Erbalunga (Brando). These post offices offer a range of services provided by 12 national organizations, including assistance with social benefits, employment, health insurance, and more. In addition to these services, La Poste supports digital inclusion by providing free access to connected devices such as computers and printers, allowing people to complete online tasks. The staff at these locations also offer personalized support, helping individuals navigate administrative procedures. This human element is particularly important in Corsica, where close community ties are vital. To raise awareness of the services available, La Poste organizes events in collaboration with local and national partners, aiming to help residents better understand and use online administrative tools. Throughout October, various France services post offices across Corsica will host open workshops aimed at improving digital skills and awareness. These events will cover topics such as online fraud prevention, digital identity creation, and the use of digital services for health and social benefits. For example, the France services in Castello-di-Rostino will host a session on digital fraud prevention with the local gendarmerie on October 6, and will also present new partners and programs on October 9. Similarly, the France services in Saint-Florent will offer sessions on digital fraud prevention and creating email accounts throughout the month. These events are part of the France services Days, an annual initiative coordinated by the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT). The goal is to highlight the importance of these post offices as essential points of contact for public services, especially in remote areas. By offering these free, accessible workshops, La Poste continues to support the local population in Corsica, reinforcing its role as a central hub for community needs and digital inclusion.
