Lynk & Co, a Chinese automotive brand owned by the Geely group, has launched a redesigned version of its SUV, the Lynk & Co 20, which is an updated version of the Z20 introduced in 2024. The new model was unveiled in China on Monday, September 28, and saw 14,663 firm orders within the first hour of its commercial launch, according to the company. Priced starting at 123,800 yuan (approximately 16,200 euros), the SUV is available in five versions, with the top model costing 163,800 yuan. These figures represent firm orders, not actual deliveries. The Lynk & Co 20 features redesigned bumpers and semi-integrated door handles, along with a LiDAR sensor on the roof as part of the Geely H5 driving assistance system. A sportier variant called the Flying Edition is also available, priced at 163,800 yuan, and includes a rear carbon fiber spoiler, a front splitter, a rear diffuser, and larger side skirts. The SUV is 4.50 meters long, 1.85 meters wide, and 1.57 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.76 meters. It offers a trunk volume of 450 liters and a 125-liter front compartment under the hood. Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a large 15.4-inch touchscreen running on Flyme Auto, paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The top model also includes a 50-watt smartphone induction charger and an integrated 6.8-liter refrigerator. The Lynk & Co 20 uses a 16-in-1 engine developed by Geely, which has an efficiency of 93.8 percent, producing 245 kW (333 hp) and 320 Nm, and is transmitted to the rear wheels. It is paired with the new LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) Aegis Gold Brick battery, available in capacities of 61.52 kWh and 70 kWh, providing respective ranges of 545 and 630 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, and up to 517 kilometers under the WLTP standard. Compared to the Z20, which started at 109,900 yuan, the Lynk & Co 20 has a starting price that is nearly 14,000 yuan higher. Lynk & Co has removed the smaller 51.2 kWh battery from the lineup, and the maximum power has slightly decreased from 250 to 245 kW. However, the LiDAR sensor and 800-volt architecture are now standard across the entire range. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, which is now standard on all versions, the SUV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 12 minutes, with a maximum power of 460 kW. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. In Europe, the Z20 is already sold under the name Lynk & Co 02, starting at 35,995 euros in France (with a 66 kWh NMC battery and 272 hp). The restyled version is expected to take over under the same name in Europe, but Lynk & Co has not yet announced specific dates or prices. The Paris Motor Show, which runs from October 12 to 18, could be a good opportunity to present the new model, though no official confirmation has been made so far.
