Amazon introduced the new Fire TV Stick 4K on September 30, 2026. The device features a new operating system called Vega OS, a redesigned remote control, and a more compact design. It replaces the previous 4K entry-level model in Amazon’s lineup. The Fire TV Stick 4K is initially available for 35.99 euros, which is a discount of 39 euros from the original price of 74.99 euros. This promotional price will remain in effect until October 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., or until the supply runs out, after which the price will increase to 74.99 euros. The Fire TV Stick 4K is powered by a four-core processor running at 1.7 GHz and includes 8 GB of storage, the same hardware used in the 2023 model. Amazon claims that the performance improvements are largely due to Vega OS, which enables applications to launch more than 35 percent faster than the previous generation. The device supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity and can deliver 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG formats, as well as the AV1 codec, but it does not support Dolby Vision, a feature available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Vega OS does not allow the installation of Android applications (APK files) that are downloaded from sources outside the official store, a process known as sideloading. This change may affect users who previously used sideloading on older models. The Fire TV Stick 4K is mainly intended for use with streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. At the launch price, the Fire TV Stick 4K is considerably cheaper than its predecessor. However, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, priced at 37.99 euros, is also available and continues to use Fire OS, which supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Amazon is offering discounts across its full range of Fire TV keys, allowing consumers to compare different models before making a purchase.
