The series Mercredi is being speculated to be ending after the completion of its third season, which filming has recently finished. While Netflix has not officially confirmed the end of the series, the rumor gained momentum after a stuntwoman posted a message on Instagram that suggested the series might be concluding. On October 1st, Jenny Ayumi, who has served as Jenna Ortega’s stunt double for action scenes since the first season, shared a message in a story that read, "End of an era... A 5 year chapter finally comes to a close." In French, this translates to, "The end of an era. A five-year chapter finally comes to a close." The message hinted at two possibilities: either Ayumi already knew her contract would not be renewed for a fourth season, or she had just learned that the series would end after the third season. Regardless, Ayumi deleted her story before it even expired after the standard 24-hour period. The speculation around the ending of Mercredi has sparked discussions among fans who have followed the show since its debut. The series, known for its unique blend of drama and dark humor, has built a loyal following over the years. The potential conclusion of the series would mark the end of a significant chapter in the lives of its characters, as well as for the cast and crew involved in its production. Until more official information is released, the third season of Mercredi is expected to be released on Netflix in 2027. This would give fans time to process the developments and prepare for what could be the final season of the show. The release date is still subject to change, and Netflix may provide further updates in the coming months. The uncertainty surrounding the future of Mercredi highlights the dynamic nature of television production, where decisions about a series’ continuation can be influenced by various factors, including audience reception, production challenges, and creative direction. As fans await more news, they continue to engage with the existing content and speculate about what might come next for the characters they have come to know and love.
