Dacia is set to unveil a 2028 Jogger 7-seater with more space and affordability, built on Renault's CMF-B platform.
New 7-seater model in development
Dacia is working on a new version of its Jogger 7-seater for release in 2028. The car is intended to give families more room while keeping the vehicle affordable compared to traditional 7-seater SUVs. The current model has up to 2,094 liters of cargo space in its largest configuration and is priced under 30,000 euros for the hybrid version.Design and cost efficiency
The next-generation Jogger will be built on the CMF-B platform used by Renault, including the upcoming Sandero. This platform allows for shared parts and manufacturing processes, reducing costs. The design will keep the raised hatchback style, focusing on maximizing space for seven people without entering the more expensive SUV market.Shared components for savings
David Durand, head of Dacia design, noted that using the same front structure as the Sandero helps cut costs. While moving the windshield forward could increase interior space, the shared components allow for production on the same assembly line, making the car more affordable.Technological upgrades
The new Jogger will support multiple power options, including internal combustion engines, hybrids, 100% electric, and gas (CNG) in some regions. The main hybrid model will use a 1.2-liter turbo engine paired with an electric motor and a small battery. The current hybrid model consumes about 4.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, and the next version aims to maintain similar efficiency despite a slight weight gain. An electric version is also planned, possibly with a range similar to the Renault 4 and Renault 5 models.
