Lidl, a well-known German supermarket chain, is currently offering motorcycles for sale on its online store in Germany. Among the models available are the Prike PXA 125 Adventure, priced at 2,999 euros, and the PXS 125 Scrambler, priced at 2,799 euros. These motorcycles are sold directly through Lidl's German website, with the option of home delivery, eliminating the need for specialized motorcycle dealers. The Prike brand, which is owned by Karcher AG, a German company that distributes several vehicle brands, introduced the PXA 125 Adventure in 2020. This motorcycle is officially approved and meets the Euro 5+ emissions standard, a set of regulations that govern vehicle emissions in Europe. The PXA 125 Adventure features a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 124.1 cm³. The engine is air-cooled and uses electronic fuel injection to produce 7.3 kW, which is approximately 10 horsepower. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a six-speed mechanical gearbox. The motorcycle has a 15.5-liter fuel tank and a fuel consumption of 2.3 liters per 100 kilometers, which suggests a theoretical range of about 674 kilometers on a full tank, though actual range may vary based on driving conditions. The motorcycle is equipped with a hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a hydraulic rear shock absorber, with 17-inch wheels fitted with disc brakes and a combined CBS (Combined Braking System) that does not include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). The ground clearance, which is the distance between the ground and the lowest point of the motorcycle, is 260 mm. In France, the B license, which is typically required to drive a car, also allows the holder to operate a 125 cm³ light motorcycle under certain conditions. These conditions include having held the B license for at least two years and completing a seven-hour practical training session, unless certain exemptions apply. However, the Lidl motorcycle offer is currently available only on its German website. There is no indication that the PXA 125 Adventure is being marketed in the same way through Lidl France, suggesting that the availability may be limited to the German market at this time.
