At the IFA trade show, Aiper is unveiling two new products as part of its Smart Yard ecosystem, an AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) system designed to simplify outdoor maintenance. The company is showcasing the IrriSense 2 SE, a compact connected sprinkler, and the Scuba V3 Ultra, an advanced pool robot equipped with cameras. These products are part of Aiper's broader vision to integrate smart devices for managing lawns, pools, and outdoor environments through a single platform. The IrriSense 2 SE is a smaller, more streamlined version of Aiper’s previous model. Standing 30 cm tall and weighing 2.6 kg, it can be installed in just ten minutes. It has a 12-meter range and can cover up to 445 square meters, with claims of reducing water usage by up to 40% compared to traditional underground systems. While it offers three functions and can manage six irrigation zones, it lacks features found in the earlier IrriSense 2 model, such as a nutrient dispenser and support for ten zones. This version is targeted at smaller gardens, and an optional solar panel can power it for nine hours, making it ideal for areas without nearby electrical outlets. The Scuba V3 Ultra, in contrast, is a high-performance pool robot designed for thorough cleaning. It uses two cameras to detect and classify over twenty types of debris without sending images to the cloud, ensuring privacy. The robot can clean the bottom, walls, waterline, and submerged areas starting at 20 cm depth. It also includes a compartment for chlorine pellets and features a powerful double pump that can move 32,200 liters of water per hour, with a filter capable of trapping particles as small as 3 microns. While it improves on earlier models in perception and automation, it has slightly less underwater autonomy—four hours instead of five—and similar suction power to its predecessor, the Scuba X1 Pro Max. Aiper’s Smart Yard ecosystem connects various devices, including sprinklers, pool robots, lawnmowers, and sensors, through a single app. It uses data on weather conditions, soil moisture, and user schedules to automatically adjust irrigation or pool cleaning tasks, even when the user is away. For example, it can pause watering after rain or adjust cleaning schedules during extended vacations. However, the company has not yet announced pricing or a release schedule for the French market, leaving some details about availability and cost unclear.
