Garmin, a well-known company for its sport watches and fitness trackers, has recently introduced its first screenless connected bracelet called the Cirqa. This device, launched in July 2026, is priced at 199.99 euros and does not require a subscription to use its core features. Unlike some competitors, such as Whoop, which charges users a yearly fee starting at 199 euros, the Cirqa allows users to access its functions without ongoing payments. The Cirqa features a single side button to start activities, while other functions are controlled through the Garmin Connect app, which is available on smartphones. Recent findings from a report by Gadgets & Wearables on September 10 revealed a reference to a "Cirqa Smart Band Pro" in the code of the Garmin Connect app. This suggests the possibility of a more advanced version of the Cirqa. The code hints at features like two physical buttons and volume settings, which might indicate capabilities such as audio feedback or an integrated speaker. However, these code references are typically early-stage indicators and do not confirm that these features will be included in a finalized product. If the Cirqa Pro is developed, it could offer users more direct interaction with their device without the need for a smartphone. This could be achieved through a second button and voice-activated features that provide real-time statistics directly on the wrist. This approach aligns with Garmin’s broader strategy to diversify its product line beyond traditional sport watches. The company has been exploring new product categories, including the Cirqa Smart Ring, which has been the subject of recent rumors and leaks. Garmin’s CEO, Clifton Pemble, has previously expressed the company’s intent to develop a wide range of new products, indicating that more innovations are on the horizon. However, the company has not yet provided details about the price or release date of the Cirqa Pro. As with many products in development, there is no certainty that the Cirqa Pro will move beyond the coding stage and reach the market.
