Btwin E-FL 900 to launch in 2027

The Btwin E-FL 900 foldable electric assist bike, first shown at the Eurobike fair in June 2025, is set to launch in mid-February 2027. The German branch of Decathlon confirmed the release date, with the bike available online and in select stores. A French release is expected this winter, though no official date has been set yet.

The Btwin E-FL 900 has an aluminum frame with 16-inch wheels and a folding mechanism that allows it to unfold in "1 second." It includes a Mahle X30 motor in the rear hub, providing 45 Nm of torque and 250 watts of power. The bike uses a single-speed chain transmission and has a removable 171 Wh battery that can be charged via USB-C.

Limited range and features

The bike’s range is limited, with 55 km in mode 1 and only 25 km in mode 3, according to the English press kit from Decathlon. It lacks a display but includes a handlebar control. Connectivity to the Mahle app is available, allowing users to monitor and manage the bike's performance.

The E-FL 900 includes hydraulic disc brakes, lighting, fenders, and a stand. It weighs 15.95 kg, making it light enough for daily carrying. The bike is priced at 1,999.99 euros, 300 euros more than the current Btwin E Fold 900. It is significantly cheaper than higher-end models like the UTO PRO16 and the O2feel JIM.
