Mobile clinics expand in Bouches-du-Rhône

The Bouches-du-Rhône department is continuing its initiative to provide free medical consultations through mobile units aimed at improving healthcare access in areas with limited medical resources.

Child protection bus offers pediatric care

Two mobile clinics, the child protection bus and the Gynécobus, are being deployed to different communes. The child protection bus offers pediatric consultations for children aged 0 to 6 years, including development follow-ups, preventive examinations, vaccinations, early detection of disorders, and advice on nutrition, sleep, and language.

Gynécobus provides gynecological services

The Gynécobus provides gynecological consultations focused on prevention, including support for women facing vulnerability or domestic violence. These services are free and accessible to all, including those without open health rights, and are adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Initiative led by local council president

The initiative, led by Martine Vassal, president of the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council, aims to ensure that no woman or young child is denied access to care due to the lack of a doctor nearby. Appointments are available by request, and confidentiality is guaranteed.

Mobile units visit specific communes

The mobile units will be present in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer on Monday, November 2, and in Mas-Thibert on Tuesday, November 3. Sylvain Di Giovanni, departmental counselor in charge of Health and Research, emphasized the importance of these services for the early years of children's lives and for women's medical follow-up.
