Jean-Michel Tinivelli, who portrayed Fred Marquand in the TF1 police series Alice Nevers, has expressed openness to a potential return for the show, though not for a full season. In an interview with Télé Magazine, Tinivelli said he would consider rejoining the cast for an "exceptional episode" if offered. Alice Nevers was a popular French police drama that originally aired on TF1 from 2002, with Marine Delterme in the leading role. Tinivelli joined the series in season 6, in 2007, and the show concluded its run in 2020. Two final movies were produced in 2022 and 2025, both featuring Delterme and Tinivelli. The series followed Alice Nevers, a magistrate who dealt with criminal cases such as murders, disappearances, or aggressions, often working alongside Marquand. The two characters initially had a mismatched relationship but eventually became a couple over the years. Tinivelli described Marquand as a character that helped him "evolve, grow, learn my trade" and brought him notoriety. He emphasized that there is no question of returning for a full season, but he would not refuse an offer to rejoin the team for a special episode. Tinivelli’s character, Fred Marquand, was known for his wit and complex personality, making him a fan favorite. His portrayal of the character contributed significantly to the show’s success and earned him recognition in the French television industry. The show was praised for its unique blend of legal drama and police procedural elements, often exploring moral dilemmas and personal conflicts alongside criminal investigations. While the possibility of a full return remains unlikely, Tinivelli’s willingness to participate in a special episode keeps the door open for a nostalgic reunion with fans and the cast. The Alice Nevers franchise has maintained a loyal following since its debut, and any future project involving the characters could be well-received by audiences. For now, the focus remains on the 2025 movie, which marked the latest installment in the series.
