Anthropic unveils new Claude Enterprise features

Anthropic, a company preparing for its first public stock offering, has launched new features for its Claude Enterprise product. These updates are designed to help businesses better understand and justify their use of the AI tool, which is used for tasks like writing, coding, and project management.

Smart reports provide detailed usage insights

One of the new features is smart reports, which analyze how Claude is used within specific teams. Administrators can choose a team, set a time frame of up to 28 days, and select which products to include, such as chat, coding tools, and collaborative features. Claude then reviews a sample of conversations, categorizes them into major projects, and links each to its associated cost.

Interactive tools help manage costs and usage

The smart reports include interactive charts that highlight deliverables, challenges, suggestions, and inefficiencies. Administrators can ask their own questions about usage and costs, save them as templates, and set spending limits directly from the report. These tools help managers monitor and control AI usage without needing full administrative access.

Surveys collect employee feedback in real time

Another feature is integrated surveys, which gather employee feedback through short cards that appear after a response within the tool. Default questions focus on the value provided, time saved, best practices, and reliance on Claude. Responses are available immediately and can be exported to spreadsheets. Anthropic says it only uses these responses to maintain the service.

Shared budgets allow team-based resource management

The third feature is shared budgets, which allocate a monthly amount to a group, letting heavy users access funds left by others. Individual spending limits still apply to prevent excessive use. If either the shared or individual budget is exhausted, access is blocked until an administrator approves an extension. Alerts are sent to managers at key budget thresholds.

New features have limited availability

The three new features are available to Claude Enterprise customers, but not for organizations using customer-managed encryption keys, HIPAA compliance settings, or hybrid deployments. Account owners must manually activate smart reports in the organization's settings to use them.
