Anthropic unveils Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion, enhancing AI assistant Claude with real-time data visualization and animated reports.
New AI tools from Anthropic
Anthropic, a company known for developing advanced artificial intelligence, has introduced two new features for its AI assistant, Claude. These features, called Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion, are currently available in beta and aim to enhance how users interact with data and visual content.Claude Dashboards connects to data sources
Claude Dashboards allows users to create real-time dashboards by connecting to data storage systems like BigQuery or Snowflake. It also integrates with tools already linked to Claude, such as Salesforce, making it easier to pull and analyze data from multiple sources.Natural language queries build interactive charts
With Claude Dashboards, users can ask questions in natural language, like "Compare this week's registrations with those of last month." Claude then processes the data, builds a dashboard with charts, and updates it automatically as new data comes in. Each chart shows the date of its last update for clarity.Exporting dashboards for deeper analysis
For more detailed analysis, users can send dashboards directly to other tools like Amplitude, Grafana, or Mixpanel. These tools are commonly used for data visualization and business intelligence, allowing users to explore the data further or share insights with colleagues.Claude Motion creates animated visuals
The second module, Claude Motion, transforms reports and charts into short animations. Introduced on October 8, 2026, it generates animated videos from queries without using traditional video generation models. Instead, it writes code to animate text, charts, and images.Animations are editable and compatible with other software
Claude Motion creates animations in MP4 format, which can be edited in software like Adobe or Runway. The animations are not generated by AI-created video sequences or people, as emphasized by Anthropic. Users can also edit the animations further in other tools, and support for platforms like Canva and Captions is expected soon.Accessing Claude Motion requires activation
Claude Motion is not enabled by default. An administrator must activate it in the settings. Users can trigger it by typing a query like "animate a comparison of our pricing offers for the launch seminar" or by typing /motion in the input bar. Initially, it was only available to users on Team and Enterprise plans.
