Rescuer finds abandoned kitten

A rescuer named Kelly discovered a tiny, abandoned kitten wrapped in a towel in front of a shop window. The kitten had dirty fur and appeared very fragile, with no apparent caretakers nearby.

Kitten’s rescue and recovery

The kitten was suffering from severe malnutrition, as revealed during a visit to the veterinarian. Since then, it has been gradually recovering with the care of rescuers from The Animal Rescue Alliance, an organization Kelly runs.

Kitten becomes café mascot

Kelly decided to name the kitten Meowzer, a nod to her future café, Cat’s Meow. This kitten has become the first animal rescued as part of this new venture, which is set to open on October 23 and will work with the rescue alliance to continue animal protection efforts.

Plans for security upgrades

The abandonment of Meowzer reminded Kelly of the need to secure the premises. The team is now considering installing a video surveillance system to monitor the storefront and more easily identify animals left in front of the shop.
