Meta is rolling out new subscription bundles that combine its standalone apps with expanded access to artificial intelligence (AI) tools, following the recent launch of its AI assistant called Muse. These bundles, known as Meta One, were previously tested earlier this year and are now available globally. They offer different tiers for individual users, creators, and businesses, while still allowing users to access Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp subscriptions separately if they prefer. Meta emphasizes that the core features of its apps and Meta AI will remain free, and the bundles are designed to provide added value through enhanced AI capabilities and exclusive tools. For individual users, two bundles are available: Core at $7.99 per month and Premium at $19.99 per month. These bundles include access to Instagram Plus, WhatsApp Plus, and Facebook Plus, along with additional AI features such as generating images using Muse or utilizing in-app tools like Instagram's Restyle. These bundles are slightly more cost-effective than purchasing each of the three standalone subscriptions separately, which would cost $11 per month combined. For creators and businesses, Meta One offers more specialized plans ranging from $14.99 to $499 per month. These include access to individual app subscriptions and additional perks such as a bold follow button, a verified badge, improved visibility in search results, and protection against fake impersonation accounts. The Essential plan includes tools for managing presence on Meta platforms and access to the Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp, while the Advanced plan adds features like scheduling Stories up to 30 days in advance and embedding clickable links in posts and Reels. Higher-tier plans, such as Expert and Max, offer more advanced features, including the ability to delegate account access and increased capacity for business support tools. Meta continues to offer individual app subscriptions as standalone options, with prices ranging from $2.99 to $3.99 per month for WhatsApp Plus, Facebook Plus, and Instagram Plus. The company explains that the new subscription tiers aim to blend exclusive features with broader access to AI tools. Some of these features were previously tested under the Meta Verified program. The Max plan, in particular, offers the highest level of access to Meta's business agents and includes an "unlimited" ability to request human support, along with the option to speak directly with a real person from Meta via phone. Meta reports that early interest in the new subscription plans has been strong, with over 15 million sign-ups for both paid and trial subscriptions. The company also plans to expand the subscription model beyond its core apps in the future, potentially including features from its video-editing app, Edits, and AI-powered glasses.
