Salaün Holidays, a French travel agency, has launched Afrikaa, its first dedicated collection of African travel experiences. This 132-page brochure highlights 65 tours across 30 countries, including La Réunion, offering 50 itineraries designed for small groups. The collection spans North, West, East, and Southern Africa, as well as the islands of the Indian Ocean. Destinations include Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Benin, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, Madagascar, and Seychelles. The programming blends guided tours, group travel, large trips, and custom stays, catering to a range of traveler preferences. Among the highlighted itineraries are a grand tour of Algeria, a journey across West Africa from Cotonou to Abidjan, a tour in Uganda and Rwanda following the footsteps of primatologist Dian Fossey, and a safari-focused trip in the Okavango Delta. A major journey from Paris to Dakar in 2028 is also announced. Scheduled from March 4 to April 8, 2028, this 36-day trip will cover 7,289 kilometers, passing through Spain, Morocco, and Mauritania. Limited to 30 participants, the trip will include stays in 4 and 5-star hotels, guided visits in each country, and supervision by Salaün Holidays teams, as well as local and national guides. Two shorter versions of the Paris-Dakar journey will also be offered: a 30-day trip departing from Seville and a 20-day trip from Marrakech. These options aim to provide travelers with a more flexible way to experience the route. The launch of Afrikaa also includes a new solidarity initiative, the eighth such project by Salaün Holidays on an international scale and the third in Africa. In the village of Niarin, located in the commune of Toffo, Benin, Salaün Holidays is funding the construction of a well equipped with a solar pump and an autonomous mini-water tower. This project is intended to benefit the local public primary school and the approximately 4,000 residents of the village. Starting in 2027, travelers on Salaün Holidays tours in Benin will be able to visit the site as part of organized excursions with local partners. These visits will include meetings with residents, exchanges with students and teachers, and an exploration of village life.
