Ukraine introduces drone ambulance
Ukraine has introduced a new drone ambulance designed to evacuate injured soldiers from areas where traditional vehicles cannot reach. This remotely operated drone can carry up to 150 kg and travel at speeds of 105 km/h, according to the company SkyFall.Drone operates in challenging environments
The drone is built to navigate minefields, waterways, and damaged roads, allowing for faster response times on the battlefield. This capability is especially valuable in areas where ground vehicles are either too dangerous or unavailable.Evacuation time reduced significantly
According to the manufacturer, the drone, named StarGate, can reduce evacuation times that previously took hours or even days down to just a few minutes. This improvement is intended to speed up the care of the injured and potentially save lives.Advanced communication and control systems
The StarGate drone combines Starlink and L-Link communication systems with artificial intelligence-assisted features. These systems are designed to maintain control of the drone even when satellite navigation is disrupted or unavailable.Drone tested for defense capabilities
In addition to its evacuation role, the drone has been filmed using a net to intercept enemy drones. A prototype of the StarGate has been handed over to a Ukrainian brigade for testing under real battlefield conditions.
