Theo James, the lead actor in the Netflix series The Gentlemen, has responded to rumors suggesting Meghan Markle might appear in the show's third season. In a recent interview with Town & Country, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, James called the speculation "just wind," indicating the rumors are baseless or unfounded. He emphasized that the production team is currently focused on promoting and ensuring the success of the second season, with plans for a third season likely to follow soon. According to the Australian news site news.com.au, Meghan Markle was reportedly offered a significant role in a UK-based project, which could have influenced the decision of her and Prince Harry to return to the United Kingdom. However, James did not entirely dismiss the possibility, noting that "nothing is decided yet" and "all bets are open," leaving the door slightly ajar for future involvement. Manda Levin, head of Netflix's fiction division in the UK, also gave a vague response when asked about the speculation at the Edinburgh Television Festival last month. While she did not confirm or deny the rumors, her comments align with the cautious approach taken by the cast and production team. The second season of The Gentlemen, directed by Guy Ritchie, is set to return to Netflix on Thursday, September 3. Meghan Markle, who has largely stepped away from her acting career since marrying Prince Harry in 2018, previously appeared in the legal drama Suits from 2011 to 2018. She also made a brief appearance in the film Close Personal Friends, which was shot last year.
