Citroën 2CV Concept unveiled at Paris Motor Show

The Citroën 2CV Concept was recently revealed at the 2026 Paris Motor Show and has since been displayed at Epoqu'Auto 2026 in Lyon-Eurexpo. This event brings together a collection of limited edition 2CV models, marking the 50th anniversary of the 2CV Spot.

Electrified homage to a classic

The Citroën 2CV Concept is an all-electric vehicle measuring 3.76 meters in length, designed to be lightweight, simple, and affordable. It continues the legacy of the original 2CV, which was produced from 1949 to 1990 and sold over 5 million units worldwide.

The 2CV Spot's legacy

The 2CV Spot, introduced in 1976, was the first limited edition of the 2CV. It featured an Orange Ténéré and White Meije livery, with orange hood, trunk, and soft top, and two-tone doors, white fenders, bumpers, and wheels. In France, 1,800 units were produced and sold out within a week.

Epoqu'Auto 2026 event details

Epoqu'Auto 2026, running from November 6 to 8, 2026, will welcome about 1,700 vehicles, nearly 900 exhibitors, and around 200 brand clubs. Hall 4 will be dedicated to "2CV - Limited Editions, 50 Years of Colors," showcasing 14 models that trace the history of the 2CV.

Special models and creators

The platform will highlight the work of creators like Serge Gevin, who passed away in 2024. Among the models is the 2CV 007, produced in only 1,000 units, and the France 3, which accompanied a sailboat in the America's Cup in 1983 and 1984.

Rarer models and unique designs

The event will also feature the 2CV Cocorico, which displays the French flag colors, and the 2CV Perrier, designed for the Belgian market with the graphic codes of the mineral water brand. The 1977 2CV Basket, designed by Claire Pagniez, will be presented in its only known example.
