After being saved from cancellation by Xbox, the upcoming stealth game Physint—a new title from Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series—now has its lead actor confirmed. Despite fan speculation, the role is not played by Robert Pattinson. Originally, Sony had decided to cancel Physint, but Xbox quickly acquired the project, allowing Kojima to continue development. This partnership means Kojima is now working with Xbox on two games: Physint and a horror title called OD. However, it remains unclear whether either game will be released on PlayStation 5. Kojima and Xbox have shared new details about Physint, revealing that Bill Skarsgård is the game's lead actor. Skarsgård is best known for playing Pennywise, the terrifying clown in the It movie series and its related TV show. This is his first acting role in a video game, where he performs as the main character. Details about his character’s name or role in the game have not been disclosed by the developers. This announcement ends speculation that Robert Pattinson would be the lead actor. Earlier rumors were based on a silhouette of the main character and reports that Pattinson had met with Kojima to discuss the project. Skarsgård is now joined by other notable actors, including Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. There is no indication that Pattinson has any role in the game at all. One of the reasons Sony decided to cancel its support for Physint was due to budget concerns. Kojima is known for casting high-profile actors in his games, and Skarsgård’s involvement likely comes with a significant cost. Kojima expressed his excitement about working with Skarsgård, stating, "I'm delighted to confirm the lead role for Physint will be Bill Skarsgård. We are both long-time fans of each other’s work, and we've decided to embark on this new adventure together." This was the most significant announcement from Xbox’s showcase at the Tokyo Game Show, which primarily featured updates and new releases from third-party developers. Other highlights included a new update for Fallout 76 and a campaign trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which features Mads Mikkelsen as the villain. Mikkelsen had previously played a major antagonist in Kojima’s Death Stranding.
